Boys basketball player of the week

Brandon Roberts, West Morgan: The prolific scorer accounted for 69 points in two games, helping the Rebels beat Priceville and Hatton. Roberts, who is averaging 34.3 points per game, scored 36 in a win against Priceville and 33 in a win over Hatton.

Girls basketball player of the week

Rachel Childress, Lawrence County: The freshman accounted for 44 points and 20 rebounds in two games. She recorded a double-double against Priceville, scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Childress followed with a 19-point performance with nine rebounds in a win against West Point.

Boys basketball

Peyton Mullican, West Morgan: Accounted for 25 points in two games for the Rebels.

Jordon Gandy, East Limestone: The Indians guard poured in 23 points in a win against rival West Limestone. He also scored 14 in a win against Ardmore.

Girls basketball

Rachel Diamond, East Limestone: Diamond has helped East Limestone get off to a strong start, scoring 22 points in a win against Ardmore, and pouring in 14 points in a win against West Limestone.

Rheagan Harvel, Brewer: Led Brewer in scoring in two straight games. She tossed in 16 in a win against Cullman. She also scored 16 in a win against Decatur.
