To The Daily: Deangelo McDaniel's wonderful article that appeared in the paper March 8 summarizing the Meet and Greet in East Acres focused on the efforts made by Decatur High School, Oak Park Middle School and Somerville Road Elementary School. However, we could not have pulled off this event if not for the support of various agencies within our community. I would like to recognize some of the other folks who helped out.
They include: Decatur Youth Services, Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church, the Boys and Girls Club, Councilman Roger Anders, the Decatur Police Department, First Baptist Church, Decatur Baptist Church, Abundance of Love, Decatur Housing Authority, Byrd Services and Pepsi, as well as various other donors and individuals.

Ashley McIntyre is a good one. In it for the right reasons, unlike some in DCS that are in "higher up positions".
