West Limestone cruises into semifinals

TANNER — Nathaniel Adams recorded a double-double, scoring 12 points while grabbing 13 rebounds to lead West Limestone High past Elkmont 51-26 Tuesday in the opening round of the Limestone County tournament.

West Limestone advances to face second-seeded East Limestone Friday in the tournament semifinals.

Austin Tuten led West Limestone (18-7) with 13 points, while Zane Griffin added seven.

West Limestone led 28-15 at halftime.

Girls

West Limestone 53, Elkmont 21: The Wildcats cruised past Elkmont in the opening round of the Limestone County tournament.

West Limestone advances to face Clements Friday in the tournament semifinals.

Shelby Clay recorded a double-double for West Limestone, scoring 10 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Bugg Grizzard paced the Wildcats, pouring in 15 points, while Laura Easter added 10.
