Williamson, Langdale

Elizabeth Jane Williamson and Jason Alan Langdale were married June 9, 2012 in a 2:30 after-noon ceremony at Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Columbia, S.C. with Deacon John Stetar officiating. The reception followed at The Hall at Senate's End.

The bride is the daughter of Craig Alan William-son and Cynthia Arrington Williamson of Decatur. She is the granddaughter of Dean and Jane Arrington and Gertrude Williamson and the late George Williamson, all of Birmingham.

The groom is the son of Lloyd Alan Langdale and Katherine Kight Langdale of Graniteville, S.C. His grandparents are Willie Mae Langdale and the late Lloyd Langdale and Carlus and Van Della Kight, all of North Augusta, S.C.

The bride was escorted by her father, Mr. Craig Williamson. She wore a form-fitting dupioni silk, vintage-inspired gown. The strapless gown had ruching on the bodice and crushed lace adorned with tiny crystals across the neckline. Completing her ensemble was a matching delicate lace bolero, a fingertip length illusion veil edged in silver and tiny crystals, and an antique hair pin. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, peonies, hypericum ber-ries, and dusty miller, and an heirloom pendant that belonged to her great-grandmother was fastened to the bouquet ribbon.

Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Mary Elaine Williamson of Birmingham. Bridesmaids were Nicole Flynt of Columbia, S.C., sister-in-law of the bride; Ashton Arrington of Birmingham, cousin of the bride; Shannon Dudney of Birmingham, Kristen Johnson of Atlanta, Ga. and Shilpa Patel of Washington, D.C., all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Madison Ball of Beech Island, S.C., cousin of the groom.

The groom's father, Alan Langdale, served as his son's best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Aaron Williamson of Birmingham and Brandon Flynt of Columbia, S.C., both brothers-in-law of the groom; Timothy Sutherland of Memphis, Tenn., Darren DiBenedetto of Brewster, N.Y. and Adam Powell of Oak Island, N.C., all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Ethan Arrington of Birmingham, cousin of the bride.

Program attendants were Brody and Noah Arrington of Birmingham, cousins of the bride. Readers were Carolyn Sutherland of Memphis, Tenn. and Maura Dawson of Columbia, S.C. The bride's godfather, Timothy Arrington of Atlanta, Ga. was the cross bearer.

Wedding director was Sue Hagood. Floral designer was Darrell Whitsel and caterer was Dupre Catering. Music was provided during the reception by the Big Baby Band.

The couple was honored by many showers and parties given by friends and family from both Alabama and South Carolina.

After a honeymoon in Barbados, the couple is now residing in Cayce, S.C.
