Wreck downs Sixth Avenue signals
Daily photo by Brennen Smith
Wires and traffic signals went down along with a utility pole during a wreck on Sixth Avenue Southeast at Seventh Street on Wednesday. Decatur police said the white pickup pictured was southbound about 3:40 p.m. on Sixth Avenue when it ran off the road, knocked down a pole in front of Express Oil Change and then crashed into and broke another pole at the intersection. The driver told officers he didn’t know what happened, police said. No other vehicles were involved, and no one was injured. The wreck caused traffic delays while utilities workers set up a temporary fix. The poles will be repaired or replaced today, police said.

If he don't know what happened, then he don't need a drivers license.

I'll bet you he was on the phone, dialing, or texting.

I'll bet you he was on the phone, dialing, or texting.

Lock him up.

That's not fair to that man. If he was actually doing something wrong that's a different story, but it could have been a seizure or a medical condition that he wasn't aware of also. Just think before you judge.

He knows what happened. He is just taking the 5th.

I'll bet he had a medical condition right after the whole thing started happening. He an attack of "need to change my drawers"!!!!

LOL! Taking the 5th at 6th and 7th! Hilarious!
