Limestone and Morgan county barbecue teams took home top prizes in the Smokin’ Railroad Street competition in Elkmont on Saturday.

Puck Daddy’s Killer Q of Athens was named the overall grand champion out of the 23 teams competing in the backyard contest. The team headed by David Puckett also placed first in chicken and pork ribs.

Other winners were South Ryland of Huntsville, second place overall; Lenox & Son BBQ Company of Hartselle, third place overall; and J.T.’s Smoke Shack of Athens, fourth place overall.
