ATHENS — A man already facing charges of using marijuana to recruit a juvenile into prostitution was charged Monday with producing pornography with a minor, according to the Limestone County Sheriff's Office.

Dhalquistiere Eichelberger Jr., 28, was also charged Monday with possession of pornographic material involving minors, according to court records.

Eichelberger was charged March 29 with first-degree human trafficking and distribution of a controlled substance and was being held in the Limestone County Jail, the office said in a statement last month. His bail for both of those charges is $60,000, according to sheriff’s spokesman Stephen Young.

Bail has been set for $2,500 for the pornography possession charge, but no bail has been set for the pornography production charge, Young said.

As the investigation progressed, “investigators uncovered more evidence that led to two additional charges, both involving the same juvenile,” Young said.

An investigator took a report on March 25 from a juvenile who had allegedly been sexually assaulted, the Sheriff's Office said last month. During an interview with the Child Advocacy Center, the juvenile said Eichelberger gave the juvenile marijuana and discussed the juvenile becoming a prostitute, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff’s Office said it obtained a search warrant March 29 and, during a search at a North Clinton Street residence, investigators found almost an ounce of marijuana and recovered several electronic devices.

Court records show Eichelberger's address is 24743 Makani Lane, Madison.

The investigation is ongoing, Young said.

Another north Alabama man is facing federal charges for using juveniles in the production of pornography.

Last month, Benjamin Eugene Walter, 38, of Decatur, was arrested for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with five children to produce live videos of the conduct and to distribute the pornography, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Walter was indicted Feb. 27 on five counts of production of child pornography, one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography.

According to the indictment, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, Walter sexually exploited five children in Morgan County. The first two instances of sexually explicit conduct took place in November 2013 and May 2014, according to the indictment. Three other children were exploited in July 2014, the indictment states.

Walter pleaded not guilty March 12. The court on March 14 ordered that he be confined "in a corrections facility separate, to the extent practical, from persons awaiting or serving sentences or being held in custody pending appeal."

His trial is scheduled May 6.
