The new Cook Museum of Natural Science was at capacity today for at least the first two hours of its opening weekend.

Museum spokesman Mike Taylor said they allow 50 people in on self-guided tours every 15 minutes.

"I love seeing all the animals especially the turtles," said Autumn Posta, 8.

Decatur's Ali Smith and her son, Ross, 5, were among the first ones in the museum Friday.

"It's amazing,"  said Ali Smith, a teacher at Walter Jackson Elementary School. "So educational with so many hands-on exhibits."

Ticket costs start at $15 for children and $20 for adults.

Taylor said it takes between two and three hours to fully tour the museum.
