A Danville man driving a tractor on Alabama 157 in Cullman County was struck and killed by a tractor trailer truck this morning, according to state troopers.

James David McAbee, 45, of Danville was driving a John Deere tractor when he was struck by a 2014 International tractor-trailer truck driven by Richard D. Enlow, 35, of Franklin, Kentucky, trooper spokesman Curtis Summerville said.

The wreck happened about four miles north of West Point at 7:58 a.m. McAbee was pronounced dead at the scene.
