Tennessee Valley Media Circulation Refund Policy

 

Print subscriptions (not enrolled in the *Monthly or Quarterly EZ Pay program):

All regularly priced (non-promotional rate) print subscriptions are paid in advance and entitled to a refund for the unused months of the subscription period if the newspaper is cancelled. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time, but the cancellation will become effective at the end of the month in which we receive notification. You will continue to receive the newspaper until the end of the month, including digital access. You may choose to discontinue receiving the newspaper immediately, upon notifying us of your intent to cancel. However, your subscription account will not be cancelled until the end of the month and you will continue to have digital access during that period. (You may also request that cancellation is effective at the end of a future month in your subscription period.)

A refund of regularly priced (non-promotional rate) subscriptions will be based on the number of complete months remaining in the subscription, after the month of cancellation, as determined by the newspaper’s circulation department. However, refunds of less than one month and refunds for cancellations of subscriptions purchased at promotional rates are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion. If a refund or credit is issued, we are under no obligation to issue the same or similar refund in the future. Refunds will be made payable to the current subscriber name on the account and will be sent via the United States Postal Service to the current address on the subscriber’s account. Refunds for payments made by credit cards may be credited back to the same credit card, at our discretion. Refunds are usually processed within three weeks of cancelation.

*Monthly subscription terms may be considered 1 month or 4 weeks depending on rate and terms.

Cancellations are effective only for future charges. Refunds for the current billing cycle will not be given. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time, but the cancellation will become effective at the end of the billing cycle in which we receive notification of cancelation. You will continue to receive the newspaper until the end of the billing cycle, including digital access. You may choose to discontinue receiving the newspaper immediately upon notifying us of your intent to cancel. However, your subscription account will not be cancelled until the end of the billing cycle and you will continue to have digital access during that period.

Digital subscriptions:

You can change or cancel your digital subscription at any time by calling 256-340-2410 or email circulation@decaturdaily.com. Cancellations are effective only for future charges. Refunds for the current billing cycle will not be given. We reserve the right to make changes to our digital products at any time. If we temporarily reduce or eliminate the charge for content or access that you are currently paying for under different terms, you will not receive a refund. Refunds requested within 24hrs of purchase may be refunded. One-Time Purchases cannot be cancelled or refunded after this period. We reserve the right to issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion. If a refund or credit is issued, we are under no obligation to issue the same or similar refund in the future.
