Priceville built an early three-run lead to help it capture a 5-2 softball win over West Morgan on Monday at home. The Bulldogs scored one run in the second inning and two runs in the third.

West Morgan scored a run in the fourth to make it 3-1, but Priceville responded with two in the fifth.

Detinee Hargrove, Reagan Walter, Bentley Black and Taylor Dean notched hits for Priceville. Walter and Dean drove in runs.

Clair Reeves had a hit and an RBI for West Morgan. Ashlyn McDonald was the winning pitcher, giving up three hits and one run in 4 1/3 innings.

Hatton 14, Addison 0: Three pitchers combined for a no-hitter for the Hornets. Ashley Berryman got the win by pitching three innings and striking out seven. Cloey Lovelady pitched 1 1/3 innings and Brayden Mitchell got the final two outs.

Berryman and Lovelady also hit home runs. Emma Lathan had two hits with a home run and three RBIs.

Ardmore 5, Athens 4: Sydney Hall pitched a complete game for the Tigers.

LB Smith ha a double and two RBIs for the Tigers. 

Baseball

Priceville 10, West Limestone 0: The Bulldogs jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the first two innings.

Priceville’s Jordan Johnson pitched five scoreless innings and gave up five hits  while striking out three. Drew Gates had three hits and three RBIs. Dylan Johnson and Mason Mann each drove in two runs.

Athens Bible 9, West Limestone 3: Athens Bible trailed 3-2 heading into the fifth inning before scoring seven runs in the final three innings to win.

Lee Moyers had three hits and three RBIs. Cade Abernathy also had three hits, and Gage Johns had two. 

Athens Bible (4-1) plays East Limestone and West Limestone today at East Limestone.

Huntsville 6, Athens 3: James Clem had two hits for the Golden Eagles in a loss to Huntsville.

Athens trailed 6-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth. It scored two runs in the final inning but Huntsville stopped the comeback attempt.

Clem, Tyde Robinson and Ty Heery each had an RBI.

Bob Jones 9, Ardmore 4: Ardmore cut an early 5-0 Bob Jones lead to one with four runs in the third inning but could not keep the momentum going.

Dylan Hall had one of Ardmore’s six hits and drove in two runs. Bill Williams and Luke Hogan each drove in a run.

Tennis

Hartselle boys 9, Austin 0: Austin Taylor (8-5), Seth McKee (9-7), Mark Cera (8-2), Triston Smith (8-1), Nolan Light (8-1), Hudson Harden (8-0) all picked up wins as the Tigers swept the singles play.

Hartselle was equally as dominant in double play. The pairs of Taylor-McKee (10-5), Cera-Smith (10-2) and Light-Terry (10-1) helped Hartselle cap off the dominant victory.

Hartselle girls 6, Austin 3: Hartselle won four of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches. Sydney Pham (8-2), Kenzie Hamlett (8-1), Emory Carnes (8-2) and Alia Wright (8-5) picked up singles wins for Hartselle.

Olivia Higg (9-7) and Anna Laura (8-1) won singles matches for Austin.

Pairs of Hamlett-Cagle (10-4) and Carnes-Wright (10-5) picked up doubles points for Hartselle. The pair of Roe-Higg (10-5) won a doubles match for Austin.
