Both Tanner Burns and Derrick Adams are on new teams this season as they continue their professional baseball careers.

Burns is a right-handed starting pitcher for the Cleveland Indians’ High-A team in East Lake, Ohio, called the Lake County Captains. He was a first round draft pick in 2020. He is scheduled to start Friday night vs. the Lansing Lugnuts.

The former star at Decatur and Auburn is starting his first season in pro ball. You can follow the team at Captainsbaseball.com.

Adams is a left-handed relief pitcher for the Kansas City Royals’ Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals in Springdale, Ark. You can follow the team at milb.com/northwest-arkansas.

The former star at Austin and Jacksonville State is beginning his second season in pro baseball. He was a 27th round draft pick in 2018.
